Rewarewa was named “New Zealand Honeysuckle” by early settlers from Great Britain, possibly because it is a wonderful source of honey. It is not a vine like the honeysuckles of the Northern Hemisphere, but a tall slender tree, native to New Zealand. It grows in the bush covered parts of the North Island.
Rewarewa honey is liquid, has a beautiful deep amber colour and has a rich malty flavour.
It has high levels of antioxidants, making it excellent for health and general well-being
Rewarewa is truly delicious and is worth including in your order!
Waitemata Honey is not pasteurised and is packed in BPA free plastic jars.
